I think this link, http://www.endangeredspecie.com/tells a lot about our topic. I like this link because it tells you everything you really need to know like why should we save endangered animals or what animals are endangered in specific areas. I choose this picture because I thought it was significant to our topic. This picture is a collage of some of the endangered animals of the world.

Flash Topic

The two main flash topics my partner and I will use in our game is the rectangle tool and the text box because our game is going to be a series of minigames. The rectangle tool will be used for the next buttons and some of the games. The text box will be used for the next buttons, the titles, some of the games, and the directions and intros. I think are learning topic is good and I think our players will learn a lot from our game. We could improve our game by putting more action in it so the player will pay more attention to the game and be more involved in it.

Scenes

The scenes in our game tells a lot about the topic. In our game you have to drag and drop the animals to their correct habitat, match an animal to its correct name, and answer some interesting facts about endangered animals. The facts offer information such as why some endangered animals are endangered. Players will be sure to learn a lot about endangered animals from this game. WV Animals Rescue Squad was one of the games in the Playing to Learn assignment that showed the players a lot about their topic. In that game, you learn about three different types of animals. From playing this game,  we learned that we should let the player become more involved in the game, it would teach them more about endangered animals.

Sound

My partner and I haven't decided if we are going to use sound or not.  In the end, we probably will. But I guess it all depends on what we decide, we may decide to not use sound. I'm not sure yet.  It would probably be a good idea to use sounds that imitate the sounds of endangered animals.  For example, when they put the animals in their correct habitat, the only will make the sound that it makes.  By doing this, I think it would enhance the work put into our game.  It would also make players want to play the game more.

Knowledge on Our Topic

My partner and I have learned a lot about our topic in the process of making our game. We have learned about the endangered animals in our game. We've learned things such as why they are endangered, where they live, and what we can do to help them. We chose this topic because it seemed like an interactive topic that children would be interested in learning about. If I could talk to "knowledge producers" I wouldn't have anything to reccomend to them because I have learned a lot and am very satisfied with the knowledge that I have acquired.  I feel that I could improve my learning process by paying closer attetion to what I'm learning and concentrating harder.

We have a great learning topic.  It is appropiate for the players that will be playing our game and it is very simple.  The game is not confusing at all.  To improve our game, we could put more action in it so that the player could be more involved.

Drawing A Scene

We have just completed the drawing a scene section.  It didn't take very long, since it's pretty simple.  Researching the information for our game was also easy.  We mainly used Wikipedia and other internet resources.  The knowledge that we gained was also very useful for every day information.  There were plenty of new concepts that we have learned so far in the process of making our game demos.  Such as the concept of the endangered animals species list.  This lists every animal that is already endangered and also animals that are in danger of becoming endangered. The information that we have learned from our research has greatly helped us throughout making our game.
